You Decide the Fate of this Rat...

I caught this very big black rat by this mouse trap.. This rat has been prowling around the house all day with immunity and specially at night rummaging the garbage and the unwashed dishes left at the sink..It has carved out a hole in the bath room and easily scamper inside and unto the ceiling where it makes scratching noises. After many frustrating attempts to trap it, finally, today it is behind bars... Now, to try this poll survey at right, please vote..find the best thing for me to do with this rat.

In the meantime, I will be feeding it so as not to let it go hungry.

WAITING... really, this what I did, waiting for blogger to let me upload pictures.. It has been two weeks since I have this problem uploading, editing my header at my other site. I thought this has caused by my slow dial-up connection, but today I only have 24 kbps and yet I can upload whereas the other day I had 38 kbps, does this matter? anyone can answer me this so I will know better, I'm still trying to catch up with computers.. in fact, I am downloading now a trial on Photodex, hope this will help me.

problem with uploading pictures

There seems to be a problem with uploading picture in blogspot but not with wordpress. I thought this was because of my slow connection which is still dial-up but when I opened my new wordpress site, lifeliners, olavides.wordpress, I can load pictures easily.. so this past few days, I have been blogging at wordpress, my picture feature blog.

Iponan River, Cagayan de Oro City : Muddy

This picture was taken late November, 2007 on a sunny day and for weeks it has not rained around Cagayan de Oro and Talakag, Bukidnon areas...It has been observed by those near the river banks that this situation has been that muddy for years now. The river is virtually dead and has affected the nearby shores of Bulua and Bayabas.. It seems that gold mining activities upstream is most likely the culprit.. Action from the local government to stop this is sorely needed.

...Starting Your Own Blog. Write Right Now!!

....It has been 3 long months since my son raymond gave this idea of earning money writing blogs on a daily basis, just like a dairy, since I am on forced retirement and like many I know who dont have a financial parachute when hard times comes, I readily caught the idea in my wildest imagination. As my ideas ran full speed, i imagined myself sitting in front of a computer and just typing away all my fantasies and earning 700 pesos at that. Easy huh?, sure easy as ABC!!! Nah!!! ....I hit hard wall, my mind went blank of what to write !!! . Took me several days just sitting down in front of a blank screen, thinking and rethinking of what to write. I started having headaches just sitting down on a very uncomfortable chair and no ventilation room my son Rexel who dislike electric fans. Come to think of it, during my college days, I was a staffer of The Crusader Magazine & Newspaper and we had already had an air-conditioned office where my buddies enjoyed writing their assigned topics in comfy,spacious room with matching coffee breaks!!! Then again I realized that my contribution to the group was only on the technical layout and photo takings of events ,personalities in and around the campus. Except for occasional assigned cameo articles dished out by our editor in chief, I only spent just a little in writing my thoughts in paper. And in English class where my XY classmates excelled, i belong to the goat group of tail enders.
....The next several weeks got me engrossed in books my son Raymond sent me about bloggings.. started reading them all.. many and many of them got me interested in blogging, how liberating for these bloggers pouring out their ideas and opinions in their own time , place and space.. Some I noticed that it is just pure blurting out what they think and cares of nothing who or what or hello? is -any-body-home? attitude. Some got this genius of decorating their page photos, flowers, pictures, tanks, scuba-divings, gourmet and more advertisements and a lot more advertisements..And there are also a lot of pages in development stage with still blank postings, maybe they are like me who still a wannabe. The next thing i know i got lost in just by surfing and reading every bit of article and link ups, a lesson which my son told me the first time he introduced blogging to me.
....Still, there is no blog on my second month!! well. this month got me started on blogspot..I have to have a page to write.. I thought I write a draft then save and publish it.. It does not work that way.. Be brave, write anything, that way you got to familiarize the keyboard.. you get also friendly with the computer, yes I mean you get to understand and know the functions of the icons above the screen. I am a moron to this computer thing, i prefer the typewriter but it is another story to tell, another blog perhaps? . Well, it got me started.. I wrote " test" then publish.. What a victorious feeling when I was able to text my son..I got my Blog and post! ...Hehehe attached. Another milestone was when i was able to post a picture of myself, it took like a year to choose which picture will I publish, a baby pic would hide my senior citizenship or my scuba-dive pose which will reveal my sport-age if we have a word like this! Naturally, a committee was form from my family, headed by my daughter, Rani.. a resounding majority in favor of my picture scuba diving at sipaca point where I met the pet of my second son Ronald, Galactus, a very thorny Crown-of-torn starfish.
.....Then, what is next? another up hill climb to mount everest! how do i get this going? The battery provided for our brain to think and convert it into words is limited to our imagination. I have learned a long time ago that one plus one equals two and at the end of day, you deserve only what you worked for. Now, where's the second blog? you get your passive income from blog ad when you have a blog and frequently visited. Really tough.. I got this idea, why not pretend you are a columnist and on assignment, the editor is assigning you for a first topic. and the topic is " starting your own blog"
.....And this is it!!! starting my own blog, a little late for three months, my 3 cents worth of advice, Write Right NOw...and watch out for my ideas to shine in a-matter-of what have you topics which i think will run and rerun quite a number of nonsense and not so nonsense, opinions, celebrations of life, events, news , oldies, my dive log and more ads . read me soon..please.
